What you will do:


We're building out our Business AI and analytics capabilities and looking for a curious, driven Junior Data Scientist to grow with us. You'll be embedded on our Lean Initiative team, working alongside senior data scientists and engineers to develop models, support analytics, and help bring AI-powered features to life. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants real ownership, real problems, and a team that's genuinely excited about what AI can do.
How you will do it:

  • Build, train, and evaluate machine learning models that support business decisions and product features

  • Develop and maintain analytics reports and dashboards that surface actionable insights for stakeholders

  • Collaborate on AI product and feature work - from prototyping to production support

  • Write clean, well-documented Python for data processing, modeling, and analysis

  • Work with SQL to query, transform, and validate data across multiple sources Support model monitoring, performance tracking, and iterative improvement

  • Explore and experiment with LLMs and GenAI frameworks to identify opportunities for intelligent automation and AI-assisted workflows

  • Work across cloud platforms (Azure or Palantir) to access data, run workloads, and deploy models

What we look for:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field

  • Hands-on experience with Python and/or R - coursework, projects, internships, or personal work all count

  • Comfort writing SQL queries and working with structured and semi-structured data

  • Familiarity with core ML concepts - supervised/unsupervised learning, model evaluation, feature engineering

  • Exposure to at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

  • Curiosity about LLMs and GenAI - you don't need to be an expert, but you should be excited about where the space is going

  • Strong communication skills - you can explain what you built and why it matters to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn fast in a lean team environment

Preferred

  • Experience with frameworks like LangChain, Hugging Face, or OpenAI APIs

  • Exposure to MLflow, dbt, or similar tools

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)

  • Any experience with Palantir Foundry or AIP is a bonus

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $68,000 - $93,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
