As a National Security Solutions - Systems Engineering First Year Intern, you will:
  • Produce reports from Systems Engineering and Program Management Data sources to support SATCOM system acquisition defined by the Chief Engineer.
  • Contribute to a data science community of interest in development processes and procedures to integrate data science into Model Based Systems Engineering.
  • Build functional prototypes using existing AI tools and foundation models.
  • Work closely with other on-site interns on MBSE & AI tasks.

Selected interns for this paid opportunity will be provided with the opportunity to mentor with experienced professionals, gain experience and establish a name for themselves in this high demand career field.
Required Skillset:
  • Candidate must be pursuing a degree in a technical field (Bachelor's, Graduate's or PhD); must have excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong desire to learn and absorb new information
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Must be able to commit to a minimum 1-semester summer co-op/internship. Strong work ethics and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge and application of Python, SQL.

Desired qualifications:
Scheduled Weekly Hours: Average 20 hours per week, 10 weeks in duration during the period of Sumer 2026
Requirement:
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must pass a Security Pre-Screen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Basic Compensation: $23/hour
This range is for California only.
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's work location, knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience, clearance level, contract affordability and in consideration of internal parity
