Job Title: Principal Robotics Simulation Engineer
Location: Weston, FL - Hybrid
Type: 6 month contract
Compensation: $110-120/hour, depending on qualifications
Work Model: Hybrid - 3 days onsite
Hours: 40.0
Overview
Develop a digital twin simulation environment for robotics applications by migrating simulation assets, implementing robotics and physics models, integrating sensors, and supporting workflow evaluation and AI model development.
Responsibilities
  • Migrate existing operating room simulation assets to NVIDIA Isaac Sim, including robotic systems, operating tables, and instrument models.
  • Develop robot articulation control and integrate simulation with ROS2 for robotic control.
  • Implement simulation capabilities for operating room layout optimization, collision analysis, and workflow studies.
  • Develop physics models for tool-tissue interaction and integrate sensor models into the simulation.
  • Collaborate with clinical application, robotics, and software engineering teams to enhance simulation capabilities.
Requirements
  • Experience with Python programming in a Linux environment.
  • Experience with robotics hardware development and CAD modeling.
  • Experience with simulation tools such as NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Gazebo, Webots, Unity, or MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Experience with physics modeling and simulation.
  • Preferred: Experience with Omniverse, USD workflows, articulated robot simulation, edge computing, and ROS2.
