Job description

Data Scientist

Clear communication skills and fluent in English.

Advanced level Python programming for data science and data engineering with minimum 3 years of professional experience in the field.

Strong background in building solutions using PySpark, Scikit-learn, Plotly/Dash and data scraping packages.

Microsoft Azure and Data Bricks experience is a plus.

Experience with ChatGPT API is a plus.

Project:

Work along side a team consisting of 4 data scientists, a ML engineer and a data engineer.

This person is expected to be self-sufficient, however the above-mentioned team will guide the contractor and assist for successful execution.

Scrape data from up to 100 PDF documents with several pages to create a regression data set.

Perform regression model on the dataset.

Combine regression model with naval architecture equations (will be provided by the team) to build marine simulations.

Use the team's existing Plotly Dash web application to create a simple front end for the simulation model.

Support the team on other projects as needed.
