Full-Stack Python Developer

Location: Houston, TX

Position Type: Contract 100% Onsite

Requirements
  • Availability to work 100% on Client's site in Houston, TX (required);
  • Experience in software development (2-5 years);
  • Full-time experience with Python on large-scale projects;
  • Experience with SQL;
  • Experience with React;
  • Non-relation databases experience;
  • Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment experience;
  • Experience with source code control systems, preferably Git & GitHub;
  • AWS/Cloud experience (preferred);
  • Experience working in Oil & Gas industry (preferred);
  • Experience with Microservices (preferred);
  • Docker Container/Kubernetes experience (preferred);
  • Data Science/Machine Learning experience (preferred);
  • Data Engineering experience (preferred);
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent engineering field
Responsibilities
  • Work with the team on an internal software package to help manage drilling operations;
  • Work with software is built in AWS, mostly using Lambdas and Python;
  • Add features, optimize architecture/pipeline, debug, scale to different areas;
  • Assist in building out a real-time integration;
  • Be responsible for Backend: Python, Frontend: React;
  • Work on Production Optimization Project;
  • Build a product/solution to help the production team decide on optimal equipment;
  • Work on Data Marketplace project;
  • Assist in building an enterprise Data Warehouse that can be used for Analytics and accessed by anyone in a Data Marketplace;
  • Lead Technical software development process is followed on the project, familiar with industry best practices for software development
