iPostal1, the leading provider of Digital Mailbox technology worldwide, is looking for an intelligent and ambitious Senior Data Engineer and BI Developer to join the newly formed data team. Our website, www.iPostal1.com, lists 3,000 addresses, including retail pack and ship stores, 1,000 Staples stores and coworking spaces. Customers choose a mailing address for business or personal use and view and manage their postal mail and packages anywhere with an app or online.
The incumbent will help us build our enterprise data warehouse on Snowflake! Your role will utilize advanced SQL and Sigma visualization and dashboard design tool, and perform insightful data analysis to meet our corporate growth goals. Our corporate headquarters is in Rockland County, NY, and this person will work in the office as needed.
Responsibilities:
  • Engineer robust ELT solutions: Design, build, test, and document efficient data pipelines using cutting-edge tools to ensure seamless data integration.
  • Satisfy business requirements: Leverage your advanced SQL skills to design and implement robust data transformations that directly address business objectives and drive decision-making.
  • Stay ahead of the curve: Eager to explore and embrace new technologies and algorithms to continuously optimize data solutions.
  • Deliver results with a user-centric approach: Driven to achieve targets and consistently prioritize user experience in every solution. Meet commitment deadlines.

Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of data expertise: Proven track record in ETL/ELT, data modeling, data warehouse design, development, and population from diverse data sources (databases, unstructured data, APIs).
  • 2+ years with Snowflake: Hands-on experience developing and optimizing within the Snowflake cloud data warehouse environment. Snowpro certification is a plus.
  • SQL mastery: Advanced-level SQL programming skills with a focus on query and ELT optimization for performance and knowledge of window functions.
  • Analytical problem solver: Data-driven mindset with sharp analytical skills, comfortable with ambiguity, able to identify and resolve inconsistencies and root causes. Strong business acumen to validate the accuracy of data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional grammar, spelling, and attention to detail
  • Use of ETL/ELT Tools like Five Tran, Matillon, Kettle, Abinitio, Informatica, SSIS or similar.
  • Use of Visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Looker (LookML) or Sigma
  • Good knowledge of RDBMS like MySQL, Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server
  • Other Technical know-how: Proficient in software engineering best practices, adept across Unix/Linux/Windows platforms, and experienced with Agile workflows.
  • Collaboration tools: Basic familiarity with Git for version control and Jira for project tracking.
  • Education: Proven track record in a technical field, ideally supported by a BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar experience. Strong technical and business skills are key.
