Job description

We are seeking talented and energetic Product Lifecycle Management Developer Tool Engineer 4 to execute on a pre-existing government contract.
This is a full-time, salaried position and is based out of the customer’s office in Colorado Springs, CO. It is a requirement that the selected candidate must have and maintain a Secret Clearance and be a US Citizen.

SEIS participates in the E-Verify program to validate authorization to work in the United States.

Role and Responsibilities

  •  Platform Development/Maintenance:
    • Develop and maintain functionalities for the platform, including user authentication and database management, ensuring scalability.
  • Custom Development:
    • Create new applications or customize existing ones within the platform to meet specific business needs.
  • Integration, Interoperability, Configuration, and Customization:
    • Integrate PLM platforms with other enterprise systems and external tools; configure workflows, customize the UI, and tailor the platform to meet specific requirements.
  • Performance Optimization:
    • Enhance the performance of the platform to handle increasing workloads and user demands.
  • Process & Lifecycle Management:
    • Partner with engineering, program management, manufacturing, and quality teams to define and implement lifecycle processes (design release, engineering change control, obsolescence management, etc.).
    • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and PLM configurations.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and customer requirements across the product lifecycle.
  • Data Management & Governance:
    • Establish and enforce standards for data quality, access control, and configuration management.
    • Develop and maintain audit trails, metadata policies, and lifecycle reporting to support program execution and compliance.
    • Partner with cybersecurity and IT teams to ensure secure handling of sensitive product data.
  • Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution
    • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex PLM tool, integration, and workflow issues.
    • Troubleshoot system performance bottlenecks, integration failures, and data quality issues across multiple platforms.
    • Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, and vendor support teams to resolve critical outages and ensure business continuity.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and nine (9) years or more of related experience.
  • Strong Programming Skills Proficiency in languages like C#, XML, JavaScript, Python, SQL, and RESTful APIs.
  • PLM Tools Experience with PLM tools like DOORS, Windchill, ARAS.
  • Database Management Solid understanding of database concepts and experience with SQL databases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have active Secret Clearance.

Preferred Skills

  • Software development certification such as IEEE Professional Software Developer or AWS Certified Developer - Associate, Certified Associate Python Programmer (PCAP).
  • General PLM certifications (e.g., Certified PLM Professional (CPLMP), Certified Product Lifecycle Manager (CPLM), or Purdue PLM Certificate Program).
  • Experience in sustaining ground-based radar systems (GBRs) or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems such as UEWR or PAVE PAWS.
  • Strong customer obsession mindset.
