Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a growing technology company in the Denver, CO metro area is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Python) to join their team. Working directly with the hiring manager, this full-time remote position offers the opportunity to build modern cloud-connected SaaS and IoT solutions while contributing across the full software stack. This position is fully remote. The client offers competitive compensation that includes base salary, annual bonus, and equity (RSUs).
What You'll Do:
* Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications and services
* Build REST APIs, backend systems, and modern web applications
* Develop solutions using Python, Go, TypeScript/JavaScript, React, and SQL databases
* Work with cloud technologies in Azure and support CI/CD pipelines
* Implement event-driven architectures utilizing message brokers such as NATS, Kafka, or similar technologies
* Lead technical projects, mentor engineers, and participate in architecture and system design decisions
* Collaborate with product, QA, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of software development experience
* Strong hands-on experience with Python
* Front-end development experience with React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
* Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, or similar databases
* Experience building REST APIs, microservices, and scalable cloud applications
* Experience leading projects or technical initiatives
* Experience leading less experienced software developers would be ideal
* Strong system design and problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience:
* Message brokers such as NATS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar
* Time-series databases or large-scale data environments

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
