Job description

Enterprise Architect

Location: Remote Duration: Fulltime

Note: Should be able to work on other aspects of Enterprise Architecture (Infra, network, security etc..) on design and documentation

Responsibilities

  • Build and architect new solutions and data center migrations to AWS
  • Demonstrate technical thought leadership, suggest & implement new technology solutions to improve business processes
  • Review and evaluate architectures of existing systems and software applications to identify rehost, re-platform as well as refactoring opportunities
  • Discovery, Assessment and roadmap development for applications migration to cloud
  • Review and evaluate Infrastructure architecture of existing on-premises & cloud data centers
  • Work closely with cloud, Infra & Security architect to define the future state infrastructure on AWS
  • Establish and enforce compute, network, storage and security quality standards
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and assistance to the teams in the implementation of established architectures and designs
  • Mentor and coach developers to ensure that architecture best practices are followed

Required Skills / Qualifications

  • 15+ years of consulting and design experience with cloud architecture
  • Understanding of EA framework, TOGAF /Zachman
  • Deep understanding of AWS cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends
  • Deep technical experience in infrastructure design including public & Hybrid cloud, networking, virtualization, identity, security and storage
  • Understanding of how to build resilient multi-site architectures
  • Hands-on with tools & methods in capability, business transformation delivery, sizing & estimations
  • Experience with Windows, Linux and Unix platforms
  • Required: AWS Migration Services, EC2, EBS, EFS S3, API Gateway, RDS, Serverless, Orchestration, Kubernetes, and Containers (Docker), IaaC
  • Working knowledge with AGILE development, SCRUM and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) with one or more of the following programming languages:.Net, Java, Python, PHP
  • Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, technical conferences, and development teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to connect with multiple internal and client stakeholders
  • Ability to mentor colleagues on the latest cloud concepts and architectures.
  • Demonstrated ability to continuously adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
