This role will work closely with Test Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to identify failure mechanisms, improve diagnostic processes, and drive corrective actions. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of electronics, PCBA, server hardware, and hands-on troubleshooting methodologies.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose PCBA, server, and system-level hardware failures in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Analyze failures identified during functional, in-circuit, system-level, and production testing.
  • Perform failure isolation and root cause analysis using schematics, board layouts, test results, logs, and diagnostic tools.
  • Work with Test Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering teams to identify recurring failure trends and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain diagnostic procedures, troubleshooting guides, and failure analysis documentation.
  • Utilize electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Analyze system logs, test data, error codes, and hardware telemetry to identify potential failure points.
  • Troubleshoot communication and hardware interfaces including PCIe, USB, I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet, and other relevant protocols.
  • Support server-level troubleshooting involving CPUs, memory, storage devices, power supplies, motherboards, networking components, and peripheral hardware.
  • Review schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, and engineering specifications to support failure investigation.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Engineering teams to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Track failure data and identify trends related to specific components, processes, test stations, suppliers, or manufacturing conditions.
  • Support production lines by providing timely technical assistance for complex or recurring failures.
  • Participate in engineering builds, new product introductions, process improvements, and production readiness activities.
  • Work with suppliers and component manufacturers as needed to investigate component-related failures.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of automated and manual diagnostic processes.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to technicians and production personnel on troubleshooting procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of failure analysis, diagnostic results, corrective actions, and engineering recommendations.
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
