About the Role

As an Actuarial Intern, you will work on projects directly with our actuaries and will have the opportunity to complete and present a self-directed, business-driven individual project to our senior leaders. Responsibilities vary depending on assigned projects(s) and may include:

  • Product Development

  • Actuarial Valuation

  • Finance

  • Risk Management

Examples of past intern projects include:

  • Enhancing existing process leveraging tools such as Python, SQL, and PowerBI

  • Building validation tools to ensure accuracy of actuarial models

  • Analyzing results and trends given regulatory or product changes

Required Qualifications:

  • Current Junior at a 4-year university pursuing a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.

  • Graduation date of December 2027 or May/June 2028

  • Required to have passed at least one actuarial exam

Preferred Qualifications

  • High degree of self-motivation with strong integrity and ethics

  • Proven organization skills and ability to manage time effectively

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

  • Ability to work and communicate collaboratively and constructively with others

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

In-Office Collaboration
We are a client-centric, relationship-based business. Working together, in-person, is foundational to how we achieve results. Our employees work in the office at least four (4) days per week, with flexibility to work from home one (1) day per week. Base Pay Salary

The estimated hourly rate for this role is $31.00 per hour. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role. We also have a competitive and comprehensive benefits program that supports all aspects of your health and well-being, including but not limited to vacation time, sick time, 401(k), and health, dental and life insurance.
