Research Instructor: The Research Instructor will conduct research focused on the immunologic mechanisms underlying autoimmune diseases, with an emphasis on B cell and plasma cell biology in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Responsibilities include designing and executing laboratory and translational research studies using advanced immunologic, molecular, and genomic techniques, including high-parameter flow cytometry, cell sorting, next-generation sequencing, and multi-omics approaches. The instructor will analyze and interpret complex datasets using computational tools such as R and Python, contribute to manuscript and grant preparation, present research findings at scientific meetings, mentor trainees and laboratory personnel, and collaborate with multidisciplinary investigators to advance the research mission of the Division of Immunology and Emory University School of Medicine. The position is expected to support the development of an independent research program while contributing to the Division's academic, educational, and scholarly activities.
