How do Python Go Developers typically balance working with both languages on a day-to-day basis?

Python Go Developers often split their time based on the specific requirements of a project—using Python for tasks like scripting, automation, or rapid prototyping, and Go for building high-performance backend services or microservices. Collaboration with other team members is common, as developers may integrate Python components with Go-based systems, requiring effective communication and code documentation. Staying adaptable and comfortable context-switching between languages is key, and most teams encourage continuous learning to keep skills sharp in both ecosystems.

What are Python Go Developers?

Python Go Developers are software engineers who specialize in writing and maintaining applications using both the Python and Go (Golang) programming languages. These professionals leverage the strengths of both languages—Python for rapid development and scripting, and Go for high-performance, concurrent backend services. Their work often involves building scalable web applications, APIs, or microservices, integrating systems, and optimizing performance. Employers value Python Go Developers for their versatility and ability to choose the best tool for each task.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Python Go Developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Python Go Developer, you need strong proficiency in both Python and Go programming languages, experience with software development life cycles, and often a relevant degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with frameworks (such as Flask or Gin), RESTful APIs, version control systems like Git, and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP is typically expected. Effective problem-solving, teamwork, and strong communication skills help developers collaborate and adapt to evolving project needs. Mastery of these skills ensures efficient delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions in dynamic technical environments.

Job description

About DialpadDialpad is the AI-native business communications platform. We unify calling, messaging, meetings, and contact center on a single platform - powered by AI that understands every conversation in real time.
More than 70,000 companies around the globe, including WeWork, Asana, NASDAQ, AAA Insurance, COMPASS Realty, Uber, Randstad, and Tractor Supply, rely on Dialpad to build stronger customer connections using real-time, AI-driven insights.
We're now leading the shift to Agentic AI: intelligent agents that don't just analyze conversations but take action by automating workflows, resolving customer issues, and accelerating revenue in real time. Our DAART initiative (Dialpad Agentic AI in Real Time) is redefining what a communications platform can do.
Visit dialpad.com to learn more.
Being a Dialer
At Dialpad, AI isn't just a feature; it's how our teams do their best work every day. We put powerful AI tools in every employee's hands so they can move faster, think bigger, and achieve more.
We believe every conversation matters. And we've built the platform that turns those conversations into insight and action, for our customers and ourselves.
We look for people who are intensely curious and hold themselves to a high bar. Our ambition is significant, and achieving it requires a team that operates at the highest level. We seek individuals who embody our core traits: Scrappy, Curious, Optimistic, Persistent, and Empathetic.
Your role
We are looking for a rare breed of leader: someone who possesses the technical depth of an AI Architect and the strategic mindset of a Sales Executive. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales Engineering, you will recruit, mentor, and direct a team of Forward Deployed Engineers who translate complex business challenges into high-impact, Agentic AI systems.
You are a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity. You don't just manage a team; you lead from the front, acting as the company's most technically fluent business consultant and our customers' most trusted AI architect. You will partner across Sales, Product, and Engineering to ensure our AI platform is not only adopted but becomes the backbone of our customers' operations.
You will lead a specialized, high-impact technical division within our global Sales organization. This team isn't just selling software; they are building the future of communication. The Agentic Sales Engineering team is the "special forces" of our Go-To-Market strategy-a group of elite Forward Deployed Engineers who embed themselves within our most strategic accounts to bridge the gap between visionary AI potential and production-ready reality.
What you'll do
  • Build & Mentor: Recruit and develop a high-performing team of Forward Deployed Engineers. Coach them to develop both their technical AI/ML skills and their ability to command a C-suite boardroom.
  • Strategic GTM Leadership: Partner with Sales leadership to identify "must-win" accounts where Agentic AI can be a differentiator. Actively participate in the sales cycle to provide leadership, technical authority, and strategic deal support.
  • Bridge the Gap: Act as the crucial link between the field and the lab. Synthesize critical "field signals"-customer pain points, integration patterns, and platform limitations-and deliver them to Product and Engineering to influence the roadmap.
  • Architect Value: Guide the team in designing complex multi-agent systems, retrieval pipelines (RAG), and decision logic that integrate with CRMs, ERPs, and custom APIs via our MCP framework.
  • Innovate Processes: Create and implement new systems for "AI Envisioning" sessions, helping customers navigate complex cloud/data infrastructure to bring AI bots to life.
  • Drive Execution: Ensure the team isn't just selling a vision, but building the "shippable" capabilities that validate a customer's investment during pre-sales and early deployment.

Skills you'll bring
  • The Basics: BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of customer-facing technical experience (Sales Engineering, FDE, or Solutions Architecture).
  • Minimum 5 years of people management experience, specifically leading technical teams.
  • Technical Depth: Deep, demonstrable expertise in the modern AI/ML stack: LLMs, Vector Databases, and Agent Orchestration Frameworks. Proficiency in Python, Go, or JS/TS.
  • Business Acumen: The ability to simplify technical complexity and communicate clear ROI and trade-offs to non-technical C-suite executives.
  • Leadership Style: High emotional intelligence with a "scrappy" mentor mindset. You are someone who takes initiative and thinks creatively to get the job done under tight timelines.
  • Operational Excellence: Strong analytical skills to use data in improving team effectiveness and product vision.
