Job description

Job Title: PYTHON DEVELOPER
Location: Suitland, MD
Duration: 12+ Months
Visa: USC, GC, H1B and EAD
Contract Type: W2

Job Duties:
  • Develop using Python, Java EE, Angular 4+ and HTML5. Python expertise is mandatory.
  • Ability to work with SQL/Oracle DB
  • Ability to develop RESTful services using Python and Java Spring framework
  • Work as part of a team throughout the software development life cycle
  • Collaborate with designers and analysts to implement enhancements or new applications
  • Develop code to meet user story acceptance criteria Debug, test, and fix errors
  • Create test transactions and run unit tests, and integration tests
  • Participate on a team of full stack engineers and automation testers
  • Conduct design, code review, security vulnerability tests, and code performance tests to ensure compliance with standards
  • Manage technical debt, team work prioritization through the sprints and releases
  • Estimate level of effort to design and develop code to meet acceptance criteria
  • Share best practices and improve processes within and across sprint teams, and mentor more junior developers

Desired Skills & Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience with the design and development of applications.
  • 4+ years of RESTful web services development experience using Python, Pandas, Polars, PyArrow, Numpy, FastAPI / Flask, oracledb, matplotlib libraries. Understanding of conda and python environments is desirable.
  • 3+ years of web user interface development experience using following tools -Angular 4+, Bootstrap 3 / 4 / 5, Angular Material, HTML5, CSS / CSS3, Jquery, Javascript, Typescript, ReactJS, NodeJS. Experience in Angular 4+, Typescript, Javascript, Angular Material, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3 is desirable.
  • 3+ years of software programming experience using following tools / libraries - Python Anaconda / Miniconda, Java, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, RESTful web services, Spring Data, Hibernate / MyBatis, JPA, Eclipse IDE / Visual Studio Code IDE.
  • 3+ years of experience on databases and related tools - SQL, PL-SQL, Oracle, SQL Developer
  • 2+ years of experience in data modeling, data warehousing, distributed processing, utilization of tools for modeling and logical and physical database design, software integration, and/or security issues and techniques
  • 2+ years of experience with business and system object modeling
  • 2+ years of experience developing analysis and design and software architecture documents.
  • 2+ years of experience with current network and development and database architectures and technologies.
  • 3+ years of coding experience developing system architectures.
  • 3+ years of coding experience building Service Oriented Architecture using web service standards (i.e. SOAP, RPC, or REST)
  • 3+ years of experience developing enterprises projects utilizing agile system development methodologies
  • 1+ years of experience with XML and JSON
  • Hands on experience on using and configuration of any of the following web application servers - Jboss, Weblogic, Tomcat.
  • Knowledge and experience of 508 compliant software application is desirable.
