JOB SUMMARY
You will design, build, and support applications that drive risk analysis and decision-making. In this role, you develop full-stack solutions using Python and React, deployed on Azure. Your work turns business needs into reliable, production-ready systems. You also help improve system reliability, shape technical direction, and support the growth of others on the team.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Build and maintain scalable web applications using Python frameworks such as Django and front-end tools like React
  • Design and develop APIs and backend services that support data-driven use cases
  • Deploy and manage applications on Microsoft Azure, including App Service, Functions, Containers, Storage, SQL, and Databricks
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and tracing using tools such as Azure Monitor and Application Insights
  • Improve application performance, reliability, and security across the stack
  • Lead incident response efforts and perform root cause analysis to resolve issues and prevent recurrence
  • Automate build, test, and deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to consistent engineering practices
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
  • Experience: 5+ years of professional software development with Python
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Back-end: Hands-on experience building applications with Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI
  • Front-end: Experience building user interfaces using JavaScript, including React
  • Data: Experience writing SQL queries and performing data analysis tasks
  • Cloud / Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, including App Service, Functions, Containers, and Storage
  • DevOps: Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps
  • Tools: Experience using GitHub, VS Code, and modern development environments
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document decisions and collaborate across teams

NICE TO HAVE

  • Data: Experience with Azure Databricks, including PySpark, Delta Lake, and data workflows
  • Domain: Knowledge of risk management or financial services
  • Observability: Familiarity with monitoring and tracing practices such as OpenTelemetry
  • AI: Experience using AI tools in the development process
