Job description

Reliant Space is seeking a Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain web-based applications for a Mission Operations Center. These applications will support on orbit flight vehicle operations.  


This is a hybrid remote and in-office position that will require travel and will require shift work leading to launch and during on-orbit operations.

Position Summary:

Design design, develop, and maintain web-based applications and services for Reliant Space’s software systems. This role requires expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies, as well as experience integrating APIs and working in cloud environments. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, small-team environment and will contribute directly to the company’s mission-critical software projects.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience as a full stack developer.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and modern JavaScript (React preferred).
  • Experience with cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs and relational databases.
  • Familiarity with Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Experience in spacecraft on-orbit operations
  • Experience in spacecraft mission planning for ground and space assets 
  • Experience with FastAPI or Django REST Framework.
  • Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress).
  • Knowledge of GraphQL or microservices architecture.

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-quality web applications and APIs.
  • Design front-end interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular).
  • Implement server-side logic and RESTful APIs using Python (FastAPI, Django, or Flask).
  • Integrate with databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and DevOps workflows.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Support the CI/CD pipeline and cloud deployments (AWS/Azure).
