We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer to own the complete product experience, from backend (Python/FastAPI) through frontend (TypeScript/React/Next.js). This is a hands-on, high-ownership role where you ship features directly to production, debug in real time, and influence product direction without waiting for approval. If you’re someone who can operate autonomously and take pride in owning outcomes from concept to deployment, this is the role for you.
You’ll be joining a passionate, high-energy team that’s solving hard problems in AI automation. You will work end-to-end on features that matter, take initiative without detailed specs, and collaborate closely with the founding engineer and CEO.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
Build and ship full-stack features using Python (FastAPI) backends and TypeScript/React frontends
Develop LLM-powered workflows and agent orchestration using frameworks like LangGraph
Own the complete lifecycle of a feature: requirements, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring
Debug complex production issues and optimize for performance and reliability
Work closely with the founding engineer and CEO to navigate technical decisions and product direction
Contribute to a tight-knit team where shipping speed and quality both matter
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required
4-8 years of full-stack software engineering with shipped production features
Hands-on experience building LLM-powered features that reached real users in production (not internal tools, not prototypes)
Strong, active Python (FastAPI) experience for backend development
Strong, active TypeScript, React, and/or Next.js experience for frontend development
Startup or small autonomous team background — teams under 20 people where you owned outcomes end-to-end
Demonstrated ability to operate with high agency — ship fast, own decisions, minimal spec
US Citizen or Green Card holder (no visa sponsorship)
Able to work on-site in New York City, 5 days per week
Strongly Preferred
Experience with agent frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI)
Real-time voice or audio integration (LiveKit, Twilio)
Multi-tenant production systems (Row-Level Security, JWT, tenant isolation)
Supabase or PostgreSQL
Strong CS degree from a top program (CMU, Stanford, MIT, Berkeley) or prior experience at companies known for engineering rigor (Google, Stripe, Anthropic, Figma)
Evidence of shipping product features with measurable user impact
What You Bring
High agency — you execute fast, own your work end-to-end, and don’t wait for approval
Intellectual curiosity — you dig in, ask hard questions, and love figuring out why something is broken
A bias toward shipping — you move fast, iterate with real feedback, and avoid perfectionism
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $150,000 – $275,000 depending on experience and fit
Competitive equity package
Health insurance, 401(k), and other standard benefits
On-site in New York City, 5 days per week
Start date: ideally within 30 days
INTERVIEW PROCESS
We move quickly. The full interview process has 5 stages and typically takes 2-3 weeks:
1. Recruiter Screen (30 minutes)
Logistics, experience, work authorization, compensation expectations
2. CEO Screen (15-30 minutes)
Conversational interview about mission fit, background, and what excites you about this space
3. Take-Home Assessment (5 hours, 3-5 day window)
A realistic product engineering task
4. On-site Live Coding (2 hours)
Live pairing session with our founding engineer (backend + frontend)
5. Culture Fit (45 minutes)
Final conversation with team members about working in a tight, fast-moving group
