Senior AI Engineer (Agentic AI)
Miami, FL
On-Site role.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking a Senior AI Engineer specializing in Agentic AI to join their Enterprise Data & AI organization in Miami, FL. This highly technical, individual contributor role is focused on designing, building, and scaling production-grade AI-powered applications and autonomous agent systems using modern orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph and LangChain. You will partner closely with the AI Engineering Manager and leadership to architect and implement enterprise AI solutions that solve complex business problems across the organization. The ideal candidate is a strong Python engineer with hands-on experience building LLM-powered applications and AI agents, and a proven ability to integrate AI solutions with enterprise platforms. You will also collaborate with Data Engineering and GenAI teams to advance shared AI platforms, participate in code reviews, and help establish engineering standards for AI development. This is an engineering execution role-not product management or machine learning research.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Design and develop production-ready AI agents using frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, and OpenAI APIs
  • Build and optimize multi-agent workflows for reasoning, tool usage, memory management, and orchestration
  • Translate defined business requirements into scalable, enterprise-grade AI solutions
  • Partner with AI Engineering leadership on architecture and implementation of enterprise AI initiatives
  • Develop reusable AI services and components that can be leveraged across multiple business domains
  • Build and maintain REST APIs and backend services supporting AI applications
  • Integrate AI solutions with internal enterprise platforms, APIs, and databases
  • Write clean, testable, and maintainable Python code following software engineering best practices
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize AI workflows for latency, reliability, and cost
  • Participate in code reviews and help establish engineering standards for AI development
  • Collaborate closely with Data Engineering and GenAI Engineering teams on shared AI platforms
WHAT YOU BRING
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Expert-level Python development experience
  • Experience building production backend services and APIs
  • Experience developing applications utilizing Large Language Models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with LangChain and/or LangGraph
  • Experience implementing AI agents with tool calling, workflow orchestration, and memory
  • Strong understanding of software architecture and object-oriented design
  • Experience integrating enterprise APIs and external services
  • Experience working with Git and CI/CD pipelines
  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with technical stakeholders
  • Preferred: Experience deploying AI applications into production
  • Preferred: Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
  • Preferred: Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, pgvector, ChromaDB, etc.)
  • Preferred: Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP)
  • Preferred: Experience building multi-agent systems
  • Preferred: Experience evaluating and monitoring LLM applications
