Job Description

Position               : Database Engineer (Python)

Location                  : Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid 3 days on-site)
Duration              : Long Term contract

MOI                      : Video and chances for in person for final round


Job opening for a database developer to help build out our postgres (plus other related projects) environment. Solid development experience. Local Candidates.
The software engineer will work within the centralized DB engineer group and support the software infrastructure required to operate and integrate relational databases into a secure global database environment.

  • The core responsibilities of this role include:
    • Engineer/sustain scripts related to supporting and maintaining relational databases
    • Ensure products meet the necessary security, supportability, performance requirements
    • Create, review, maintain and update documentation.
    • Document & Publish fixes in central knowledge base.
    • Dissemination of knowledge amongst colleagues.


The individual chosen for this position should have knowledge and experience in the following areas:

  • High level of competence in multiple languages including Python Perl, Ksh, C
  • 5-10 years of programming experience focused recently in Python
  • Python Framework experience required
  • Good understanding of UNIX and/or Linux system fundamentals
  • SQL programming skills
  • Knowledge of common third party tools to manage large database environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset
  • Postgres experience required
  • Expertise and practical experience using and implementing Kerberos
  • Expertise in designing enterprise large-scale software infrastructures
  • Good presentation, interpersonal, and written skills
