Duration: 12 Months+ CTH (Performance Based) Note: Active Secret Clearance Required. What is the primary mission of this role?
• We are seeking a motivated software integration engineer to join our team supporting the SPY-6 Family of Radars. • The ideal candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust, high-performance radar software solutions. • This role involves integrating, testing, and troubleshooting radar software to ensure optimal system performance in various operating environments. What are the main functions of this role?
• Assist in software integration and testing under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Conduct basic software integration, system testing, and debugging in shipyard environment
• Execute test plans, procedures, and scripts to validate radar software functionality and performance.
• Analyze and resolve software/hardware interface issues during software integration.
• Document integration processes, test results, and troubleshooting steps to ensure knowledge transfer and system traceability.
• Support field installations and trials, as necessary, to ensure successful system deployment. Required Skill Sets:
• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in software integration, development, or testing, preferably in radar systems or embedded systems.
• Experience with high-level programming languages such as C++ or Java.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or bash.
• Experience with Linux and the command line interface.
• Experience with software debugging and troubleshooting tools (e.g., GDB, Wireshark, etc.).
• Experience with version control systems like Jira, Git or Rational ClearCase.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Desired Skill Sets:
• Familiarity with radar systems, signal processing, or real-time systems.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
