Job Title

Senior AI Software Engineer Multi-Agent Systems (Python, Google Cloud Platform)

Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Senior AI Software Engineer to design, build, and enhance AI-powered multi-agent systems. This individual contributor role combines technical architecture with daily software development, focusing on scalable AI solutions, full-stack application development, and production-grade engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop multi-agent AI systems and evaluate architectural approaches, including single-agent vs. multi-agent systems and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) vs. fine-tuning.
  • Contribute to architecture decision documentation and technical design discussions.
  • Develop production-grade code for AI agent frameworks, backend services, frontend applications, and LLM-powered workflows.
  • Build AI capabilities including natural language to SQL, semantic search, metadata enrichment, and AI guardrails.
  • Implement observability and monitoring for AI system outputs.
  • Develop backend applications using Python and FastAPI.
  • Develop frontend applications using Angular or React.
  • Build chat interfaces, APIs, and evaluation or benchmarking tools.
  • Own features throughout the complete software development lifecycle.
  • Maintain high code quality through code reviews and engineering best practices.
  • Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot AI agent failures.
  • Collaborate with Product, Data Engineering, and Platform teams.
  • Mentor team members and support sprint planning and onboarding activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong hands-on coding skills.
  • Experience building AI-powered applications or operating LLM-based systems in production environments.
  • Experience designing and developing AI or expert systems.
  • Proficiency with Python and FastAPI.
  • Experience with Angular or React.
  • Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
  • Familiarity with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, OpenCode, or similar tools.
  • Ability to interpret ambiguous requirements and independently deliver well-tested software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related technical field.
  • Experience with Google Agent Development Kit (ADK) or comparable agent frameworks such as CrewAI or LangGraph.
  • Familiarity with data engineering practices and data governance.
  • Applied machine learning experience, including embeddings, classification, clustering, natural language processing, and evaluation metrics.
