Job description

The Senior Data Engineer/Software Developer is a full-time position that will lead the technical implementation for of one of our clients Lifecycle Management Systems. Position is responsible for the end-to-end development of the LMS ecosystem directly working with military stakeholders, logistics experts, and government engineers to ingest complex data streams, build a dynamic operational ontology, and construct role-specific user interfaces


This role requires strong software development experience, analytical reasoning and quantitative skills, the ability to work collaboratively with senior and mid-level developers and subject matter experts, and the capacity to present findings clearly to senior DoD leaders and stakeholders.

Position is fully in-person at client site located on Langley Air Force Base. VA.

  • Data integration and data engineering pipeline development.
  • Architecting and building robust data pipelines using tools such as Python, PySpark/Pandas, and SQL to ingest data from legacy databases.
  • Manage data health, scheduling, and synchronization using platform CI/CD tools.
  • Develop low-code/no-code interactive UI tools.
  • Implement automated workflows.
  • Develop ontology for particular for various systems within the LMS use-case.
  • Present analysis and findings to government, industry, and internal stakeholders.
  • Work with a team of senior and mid-level developers and subject matter experts to answer project requirements and needs.
  • Coordinate with government, industry, and internal stakeholders to gather information, validate findings, and support recommended courses of action.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelorsโ€™ degree in a technical field such as math, physics, operations research, engineering, data analytics, or another relevant technical domain.
  • 10+ years of experience using analytic tools such as Python, SQL, and Tableau to perform data exploration and analysis.
  • 5+ yearโ€™s experience building data connectors from legacy systems.
  • Experience leading small to medium-size technical teams to deliver analytical products and analyses.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and research skills.
  • Self-directed and detail-oriented, with the ability to complete assigned tasks, adapt to changing work efforts, and manage shifting priorities.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masterโ€™s degree in a technical field such as math, physics, operations research, engineering, data analytics, or another relevant technical domain.
  • 3+ years developing with Palantir Foundry โ€“ experience with Workshop is a big plus.
  • Frontend application development using tools such D3.js, Angular, React, JavaScript.
  • Previous Experience with DoW Supply Chain or Predictive Maintenance use-cases.

Target salary range: $111,426 - $192,890. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.
