Job Summary: The System Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting a hybrid cloud infrastructure spanning Microsoft Azure and Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI) on-premises environments. This role focuses on platform engineering, automation, operational resiliency, and cost optimization. Evaluates emerging technologies, including AI-driven operations (AIOps), to improve efficiency, security, and scalability while supporting INTRUST Bank's long-term strategic initiatives. The System Engineer will identify and communicate issues, conduct and review root cause analysis, build and implement lasting solutions. Promotes an environment of teamwork within the department and across the bank. Represents INTRUST Bank in all they do in the community and is focused on the development of new business relationships. Must maintain strict standards of confidentiality and perform duties in a manner supporting INTRUST's Character Qualities.
Essential Functions: All expectations described in the job description's essential functions are necessary to be successful in this role, performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Design, implement, and support hybrid cloud infrastructure integrating Azure, Azure Local, and other 3rd party cloud platforms.
• Administer and optimize Microsoft Azure services including compute, storage, networking, and security.
• Support Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
• Develop and maintain automation and infrastructure as code using PowerShell, Python, Bicep, or Terraform.
• Implement automation for provisioning, patching, monitoring, and incident response.
• Support Active Directory and hybrid identity solutions (Entra ID / Azure AD).
• Microsoft SQL Server support and optimization.
• Design resilient architectures including high availability, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Monitor and optimize performance using enterprise monitoring and AI-assisted tools.
• Perform vulnerability management, patching, and system hardening.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to ensure secure and compliant infrastructure delivery.
• Seeks operational excellence by optimizing processes and automating tasks where possible.
• Demonstrate leadership and foster a collaborative team approach.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field. Or, 5+ years of experience in hybrid cloud or enterprise infrastructure engineering with Microsoft Azure and cross-platform systems.
