Job description

Overview
We are looking for a talented, self-motivated, and experienced systems engineer to help support the public cloud and enhance DevSecOps practices to automate workflows for the enterprise. The environment offers you exciting opportunities to work with the latest technology, platforms, tools, services, and workflows.
Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain operational components in public clouds, such as AWS, Azure as well as private cloud
  • Create tools and processes that enhance operational workflows
  • Configure and deploy containerized microservice workloads (Docker/Kubernetes: EKS)
  • Collaborate with a team of DevOps engineers to help maintain the production application and infrastructure across multiple cloud providers and regions
  • Work closely with development teams to improve workflows around build, test, and deployment of applications
  • Design new tools and utilities to automate the infrastructure management
  • Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and trending operational tools within a cloud environment
  • Perform day-to-day support of the applications covering deployment, patching and general administration
  • Troubleshoot the system and provide root cause analysis
  • Provide rotational 24/7 on-call technical support

Requirements
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience, focused on infrastructure management and automation
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, Azure)
  • Experience with UNIX/Linux environments
  • Experience with configuration management systems (Puppet/Chef)
  • Ability to write code in Python/PowerShell for infrastructure scripting
  • Strong understanding of build/automation systems, such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Git
  • Experience with infrastructure provisioning tools, such as CloudFormation or Terraform
  • Ability to automate self-service workflows
  • Understanding/experience of cloud and web security is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related STEM field

Recommended Qualifications
  • Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
  • Previous experience with cloud provisioning tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Experience with Jenkins pipelines and libraries
  • Working experience with Linux containers (Docker) and container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes
  • Previous experience supporting mission-critical distributed systems
  • Ability to share your expertise through documentation and mentorship
  • Passionate about creating workflows that help produce a great self-service developer experience
  • Good problem-solving skills and passion to learn, explore new technologies
