Job description

Database Architect/Developer Salary Range: $92,000 to $107,000 per year Ops Tech Alliance (OTA) is seeking a Database Architect/Developer (Data Warehouse) to support the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) at the Presidio of Monterey, CA. This role performs analysis, modification, documentation, and support of daily operations for the data warehousing and reporting environment. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities Support the full data development lifecycle, including data profiling, ETL, and data model design. Design and develop dimensional data models and data warehouse structures. Plan, install, and maintain database servers and applications, including after-hours work as required.

Optimize complex SQL queries for performance and scalability. Document data models, ETL pipelines, and warehouse processes. Collaborate with application developers, BI analysts, and stakeholders on reporting initiatives.

Required Qualifications AA/AS in a related discipline from an accredited college or university, OR 3+ years of related experience in lieu of degree. Active IAT Level II certification (one of: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) plus applicable CE/OS certification. 5+ years designing and developing data warehouses.

Demonstrated track record implementing complex data warehouse projects. Expert-level SQL coding and query optimization in SQL Server and/or MySQL. Familiarity with data modeling concepts (dimensional, star schema, snowflake schema).

Knowledge of ETL tools and methodologies. U.S. Citizenship; ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)

Desired Qualifications BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, or Teradata. Programming experience in Python or Java.

Prior DoD or Army experience.
