Job Description SOSi is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our analytics team working on an innovative MLOps workload leveraging cutting-edge technologies and supporting a government customer in Huntsville, Alabama. This role will be responsible for delivering automation to key national security missions interacting with petabyte-scale data on supercomputing resources. The ideal candidate will have a background in AI/ML model development and have experience in Python programming, handling SQL databases, and working in command line interfaces. You will leverage scientific techniques to transform petabyte-scale data into insightful data products to enable data-driven decisions. You will perform using Scrumban techniques and be embedded with end users. The team will work with technologies including: * Open source, commercial, and government software packages such as Docker, Python, Jupyter Notebooks, PostgreSQL, and other tools.
* Leverage GitOps patterns and CI/CD with tools like GitLab and GitHub.
Essential Job Duties * Develop and deploy data science solutions leveraging Python or similar languages.
* Utilize Linux for development of data processing and model deployment.
* Collaborate with data engineers to improve data colleciton, quality, and access.
* Prioritize tasks efficiently and adapt solutions to meet project requirements.
* Document processes and outcomes for transparency and future reference.
* Write clean, testable, maintainable code in Python and other languages. Qualifications * Active TS/SCI.
* Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics or other quantitative field.
* A minimum of four (4) years of experience as a Data Scientist/Engineer or advanced analytical role

* Knowledge of CI/CD and Agile methodologies.
