Job description

Job Description: SEACORP's  Virginia / Ohio Replacement Business Area is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer for its Middletown, RI location to support the Weapons Analysis Facility at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center.  

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop software primarily in C/C++, Java, Python, and Qt / PyQt.
  • Provide day-to-day technical leadership for a small software development team.
  • Coordinate tasking, priorities, and development activities across team members.
  • Collaborate directly with customers and stakeholders to clarify requirements and demonstrate progress.
  • Participate in software architecture, code reviews, and technical planning.
  • Support integration, troubleshooting, and issue resolution in a secure lab environment.
  • Engage in Atlassian-suite activities such as providing comments in JIRA, performing code reviews in Bitbucket, sharing.
  • documentation in Confluence, and adding/analyzing test results in Bamboo.
  • Embrace a team culture of mentoring, often including paired programming and discussions on development approaches, testing, and coding standards.
