PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The purpose of this job is to design and implement automation and process improvements to successfully deliver solutions in support of ICW Group's business outcomes in a timely and efficient manner. This position will assist in planning and executing system development and security strategies. This position exists to automate systems and optimize work-processes for the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides lifecycle support for all Enterprise DevSecOps tools and processes.

  • Architects, designs, and implements virtualization environment utilizing AWS Cloud native tools.
  • Designs, develops, documents, analyzes, tests, integrates, debugs, and analyzes system architectures to provide scalable and reliable services composing of custom software and commercial solutions.
  • Designs tools, processes, and changes to automate the lifecycle of new solutions releases, systems, and system upgrades.
  • Participates in DevSecOps initiatives by providing automation and reporting to team members and organization resources.
  • Performs technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the DevSecOps organization.
  • Assesses and monitors systems to address risks and vulnerabilities and maintain system configuration.
  • Integrates systems that facilitate continuous build, integration, test, and deployment.

Collaborates in the design and implementation of secure, resilient, and scalable enterprise services.

  • Participates in Agile teams to plan, develop, and maintain systems and requirements for the DevSecOps pipeline.
  • Works closely with engineering teams to ensure we are considering security when architecting and building new features.
  • Works with development to establish and maintain unit testing tools and QA automation tools.
  • Fosters and maintains good relationships with colleagues to meet expected customer service levels and stakeholder expectations.

Promotes DevSecOps mindset and best practices.

  • Collaborates with different groups to identify gaps and bottlenecks to solution delivery.
  • Helps develop best practices and infrastructure for continuous integration and continuous deployment of solution development pipelines and systems.
  • Develops documentation to enable rapid adoption and utilization of standard architectures.
  • Contributes to the DevSecOps and Cloud Guild's on a recurring basis.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university required with a major or emphasis in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Minimum 5-7 years of related experience and/or training required. Additional experience in lieu of degree may be considered.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Linux, AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS DevOps Engineer Associate and/or Cloud Based Infrastructure certification preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Solid knowledge of DevSecOps theory. Solid experience with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Python, Powershell). Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies (VMWare, Nutanix, Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with Cloud Native Services, familiar with Cloud approaches such as Paas, IaaS, aPaaS, (AWS). Understanding of serverless approaches and solutions. Solid experience with creating and maintaining Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines for automated deployments (GIT, SVN, Jenkins, Code Commit, CodeBuild, Code Deploy, CodePipieline. Working knowledge of the Atlassian software development and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence). Knowledge of software development and systems development lifecycle practices, preferably in an agile development environment. Ability to demonstrate professional growth and formalized knowledge attainment history. Must be a strong logical and analytical thinker with attention to detail. Working knowledge to find root causes of problems and quickly determine efficient solutions. Ability to work comfortably under high-stress situations and exhibits poise and focus. Understanding of relevant business systems, operating systems, and servers. Possesses an understanding of how software behaves to deploy, configure, and troubleshoot systems, and continuously optimizes system performance. Strong communication and organizational skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently will sit, stand, walk, and bend during working hours. Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Required to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and normal or corrected vision and hearing corrected to a normal range. Ability to work overtime and on nights and weekends, as needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position operates in an office environment and requires the frequent use of a computer, telephone, copier, and other standard office equipment.

The current range for this position is

$105,780.03 - $189,347.93

This range is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. If hired at ICW Group, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors unique to each candidate, including experience, education and the location of the role and considers employees performing substantially similar work.
