Job Description Summary:

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Manager, Procurement Applications Development to design and build cloud-based applications and data services that power our Strategic Ingredient Supply (SIS) operations. This is a hands-on, build-focused role centered on Python web development and Azure cloud engineering. You will own the full development lifecycle of web tools and data pipelines, working closely with the SIS data team and category managers to turn business needs into reliable, well-engineered software.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain Python web applications (Django preferred) on Azure that deliver supply chain tools and self-service analytics.
  • Build and operate data pipelines and services on Azure (Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake Storage) following CI/CD and software engineering best practices.
  • Integrate internal and external REST APIs, handling authentication, rate limiting, retries, and error handling.
  • Write and optimize SQL (T-SQL / SQL Server), including complex queries, CTEs, views, and stored procedures.
  • Own code quality across version control, testing, code review, documentation, and deployment automation.
  • Collect, model, and safeguard procurement and supply chain data from diverse sources, feeding visualization platforms such as Power BI.
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions and serve as a technical resource on the data team.
  • Protect company and partner information and comply with security and confidentiality standards.

Required Skills
  • Strong Python development experience, including building web applications with Python frameworks (Django preferred).
  • Hands-on Azure cloud experience (Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake Storage) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid software engineering fundamentals: Git, automated testing, code review, and deployment.
  • Strong SQL skills (T-SQL / SQL Server) with complex queries, CTEs, views, and stored procedures.
  • Experience integrating REST APIs, with a clear understanding of authentication, rate limiting, and error handling.
  • Experience handling, cleaning, merging, and transforming large datasets.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication.

Additional Preferred Skills
  • Power BI, SAP, and advanced Excel (pivot tables, charts, Power Query).
  • Data analytics, insight generation, and basic predictive modeling.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML ecosystems (LLM inference, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines) and building agentic AI for process automation.
  • Procurement, supply chain, or logistics domain experience.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree required, with preference for Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative or engineering field. Master's degree is a plus.

Experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years of building and deploying software, with demonstrated hands-on experience in Python and cloud development (Azure preferred).
