Job description

Hertz is seeking a Senior Product Owner, Revenue Forecasting to lead the strategy, roadmap, and continuous enhancement of enterprise revenue forecasting products and capabilities. This role is responsible for forecasting data, models, workflows, and decision-support tools that enable Commercial leaders to anticipate demand, optimize revenue decisions, and drive sustainable unit revenue performance.

Serving as the key liaison between Revenue Management, Commercial, Finance, Data Science, and Technology teams, the Senior Product Owner will translate business needs into scalable, trusted forecasting solutions. The ideal candidate will enhance forecast accuracy, transparency, and usability while driving adoption through effective reporting, documentation, training, and stakeholder engagement. Success in this role requires a blend of revenue management expertise, product leadership, analytical rigor, and the ability to influence cross-functional partners.

The starting salary for this role is $120,000, commensurate with experience

What You’ll Do:
  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for revenue forecasting data, models, workflows, reporting, and scenario-planning tools that support Commercial and Revenue Management decisions
  • Partner across Revenue Management, Pricing, Commercial, Finance, Fleet, Operations, Data Science, and Technology to define business requirements, prioritize opportunities, and deliver measurable business value
  • Translate business needs into product requirements by developing user stories, acceptance criteria, release plans, and priorities while balancing value, risk, effort, and urgency
  • Lead end-to-end delivery and continuous improvement of forecasting capabilities, from discovery and design through testing, deployment, adoption, and ongoing enhancement
  • Drive forecasting excellence by improving accuracy, timeliness, transparency, and consistency across short-, medium-, and long-range demand, revenue, pricing, and unit revenue forecasts
  • Establish and monitor key performance metrics including forecast accuracy, bias, adoption, data quality, cycle time, and business impact, using insights to drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure data integrity and governance by maintaining scalable, well-documented forecasting data sources, business definitions, and processes aligned with enterprise data strategy
  • Develop scenario planning and sensitivity analyses to evaluate the impact of changes in demand, pricing, fleet capacity, customer mix, channels, and broader market conditions
  • Collaborate with Data Science and Engineering teams to deliver reliable forecasting solutions leveraging enterprise tools and platforms, including AWS, Databricks, SQL, Python, and Tableau
  • Create and enhance dashboards, reports, and decision-support tools that clearly communicate forecast drivers, risks, opportunities, and performance against plan and actual results
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, effectively communicating forecasting concepts and product decisions to technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior leaders
  • Lead user adoption efforts through testing, documentation, training, release readiness, and change management while mentoring team members and promoting best practices in forecasting and product management
What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with 8+ years of progressive experience in revenue forecasting, revenue management, pricing, analytics, product ownership, or a related discipline required
  • Demonstrated success developing and managing forecasting, analytics, or decision-support solutions that drive measurable business outcomes, with strong knowledge of forecasting methodologies, driver-based modeling, scenario analysis, model validation, and performance measurement
    Strong product management experience, including roadmap and backlog management, requirements gathering, user story development, Agile delivery, user acceptance testing, release planning, and change management
  • Advanced analytical and technical skills, including SQL, Excel, Tableau, and experience with Python, R, SAS, or similar tools; familiarity with Databricks and AWS-based data environments preferred
  • Strong commercial, financial, and business acumen with the ability to connect forecasting and data initiatives to strategic objectives and measurable results
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and effectively engage technical teams, cross-functional partners, and senior leadership
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously, prioritize competing demands, and drive projects from concept through execution with minimal supervision
  • Experience supporting broad user communities through data governance, documentation, training, and adoption of analytical products and processes
