Role Description

As part of our growing Quality Engineering practice, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to support a strategic engagement within the Wealth Management domain. You will contribute to next-generation digital platforms that empower financial advisors and investors with smarter decision-making tools and exceptional client experiences.


This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy building robust automation frameworks, solving complex quality challenges, and driving engineering excellence. You will design and implement automation frameworks end-to-end, collaborate closely with engineering and product teams, and embed quality practices throughout the development lifecycle.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automation frameworks end-to-end using Java and Python.
  • Build scalable UI, API, and end-to-end automation solutions using Playwright and Selenium.
  • Develop reusable libraries, utilities, and modular components to support automation at scale.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to translate requirements into robust test solutions.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Git-based workflows and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Execute, maintain, and optimize automated test suites for reliability and performance.
  • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to automation best practices and clean coding standards.
  • Debug complex issues across distributed systems and microservices.
  • Create and maintain documentation for frameworks, test strategies, and engineering standards.
  • Support shift-left testing practices and early defect detection.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of quality engineering processes and tooling.


Qualifications

  • 8–12+ years of experience in software testing, automation, and quality engineering
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred)


Technical Skills (Required)

  • Java & Python programming expertise
  • End-to-end automation framework development (architecture, abstraction, interfaces, dependency injection, configuration management)
  • Playwright & Selenium for UI automation
  • API automation (REST, JSON, schema validation, integration flows)
  • Experience with parallel execution concepts (TestNG or equivalent patterns)
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum and shift-left testing practices
  • CI/CD integration with Git-based workflows
  • Git for version control and branching strategies
  • Debugging & problem solving across distributed systems
  • Experience designing automation frameworks from scratch and owning them end-to-end


Technical Skills (Preferred)

  • AWS (Lambda, S3, EC2, CloudWatch, IAM, etc.)
  • Docker & Kubernetes for containerized test execution and microservice environments
  • Microservices testing (service isolation, contract testing, distributed debugging)
