As a Linux Systems Administrator, you will support the modernization, reliability, and scalability of our client’s infrastructure. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Assisting with deployment and management of Linux systems and services across multiple sites, using automation and configuration management tools under team‑lead guidance.
• Collaborating with senior administrators on infrastructure projects and migrations, including upgrades, capacity improvements, and technology refreshes.
• Participating in operational cycles—patching, monitoring, maintenance, and performance optimization—to ensure availability, security, and compliance targets are met.
• Contributing to documentation such as user guides, knowledge bases, and system maintenance records.
• Following established technical designs, processes, and procedures to maintain system standards.
• Performing routine system health checks and assisting with monitoring performance, security, and availability.
• Supporting recovery events and backup/disaster‑recovery operations.
• Learning and contributing to automation and scripting efforts using tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, and other IaC frameworks.

• Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
• U.S. Citizenship (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field ◦ May be substituted with 5+ years of relevant experience
• Ability to obtain a DoD 8570‑compliant security certification within 90 days of hire
• Ability to obtain a professional certification within 6 months of hire ◦ Examples: RHCSA, RHCE, CKA, CCNA, AWS Associate Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of Linux systems and service administration (RHEL, Rocky, CentOS), including remediation and patching.
• Basic familiarity with configuration management and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform) and interest in IaC and Git workflows.
• Understanding of enterprise storage technologies (SAN, NFS, iSCSI, block/object storage).
• Experience with virtualization (KVM) and containerization (Docker).
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, subnets) and ability to assist with troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of security compliance frameworks such as STIGs, DISA Benchmarks, CMMC, or CUI.
• Experience or strong interest in scripting/programming (Bash, Python, PowerShell, Go) for automation and tooling.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset and eagerness to learn from senior administrators.
