Job description

Casne Engineering, a premier engineering and technology integration firm with a 45 year track record working across many industries, has immediate permanent positions in real-time analytics and IIoT using Aveva PI System technologies. This position is hybrid in-office or work-from-home and includes company-supported home office work arrangements.

Required (Technical):

  • A solid understanding of the AVEVA PI system platforms and experience designing, planning, and deploying highly available and performant system architectures
  • Experience installing, configuring, validating, and tuning PI Server and interfaces
  • Experience implementing PI analytics with PI Asset Framework, Performance Equations, PI Integrator for Business Analytics, AVEVA CONNET, and externally-hosted data services
  • SQL Server - SQL admin skills including SSIS packages, backups, replication, backups and high availability.
  • Good grasp of Windows Server OS, networking, and system security fundamentals
  • Experience developing high quality data visualizations in Microsoft PowerBI, Seeq, Tableau, Spotfire, and/or Esri ArcGIS
  • Experience installing and tailoring PI system for specific use cases including condition-based maintenance, process optimization, process visualization, alarming and notification, and reporting
  • Experience working with PLC and DCS-based control systems, smart meters, building management systems, and/or energy management systems as data sources.
  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot industrial communications protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, Ethernet/IP, OPC DA, OPC UA and MQTT
  • Software development/scripting experience (Python, C#, JavaScript, etc.)
  • Strong Windows OS and Client Tools Skills – comfortable with Windows server and client (Win11) operating systems. Strong Microsoft o365 application skills (Excel, Word, OneDrive, SharePoint...etc)
