Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design and implementation of modern cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines in AWS. This role will be pivotal in evolving our DevOps ecosystem by using IaC and modern CI/CD pipelines to implement automated environment builds and deployments while adhering to best practices to ensure proper security protocols are in place to protect the sensitive data our customers have entrusted us with.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Circle CI, or AWS Code Build.
- Design scalable and secure AWS environments leveraging services like EKS, Fargate, S3, CloudWatch, and IAM.
- Implement container orchestration.
- Drive adoption of DevSecOps practices including automated security scanning, secrets management, and compliance monitoring.
- Set up and manage observability stacks using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry.
- Collaborate with engineering and analytics teams to streamline deployment workflows and improve developer experience.
- Harden cloud network using security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., CIS, NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2).
- Lead infrastructure reviews, cost optimization efforts, and cloud governance initiatives.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure.
- Strong expertise in AWS and modern IaC tools (Terraform).
- Hands-on experience with modern, cloud-native CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions preferred).
- Proficiency in containerization and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools and practices.
- Experience with Python for scripting and automation.
- Strong familiarity with git-based version control systems and associated best practices for release management.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
- Exposure to data pipelines, ETL, or ML model deployment.
- Experience in managing Azure infrastructure and pipelines
- Prior experience in healthcare, analytics, or compliance-driven environments.
