Job description

We are seeking a Network Engineering Intern with a foundation in networking concepts and a passion for learning. In this role you will support senior engineers in managing and optimizing Bessemer Trust's enterprise network, including WAN/LAN, wireless, SD-WAN, and firewall/security infrastructure. This 10-week program is designed to mirror the experience of a full-time employee, providing hands-on exposure to enterprise networking and a foundation for a future career in technology.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing and supporting enterprise network infrastructure across data centers and offices.
  • Support configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of:
    • Cisco / Meraki and Arista networking components
    • Palo Alto firewalls and related security services
    • Wireless LAN, WAN, and SD-WAN environments
  • Contribute to network automation and orchestration projects using Ansible and Python.
  • Help evaluate and integrate emerging networking technologies and tools.
  • Document processes, test configurations, and contribute to project deliverables.
  • Participate in the review and implementation of firewall/security policies.

Qualification:
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in network engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following:
    • Networking: LAN/WAN, wireless, routing/switching fundamentals, SD-WAN concepts
    • Network Devices: Cisco, Meraki, Arista, Palo Alto firewalls
    • Cloud & Virtualization: AWS, VMware, hybrid environments
    • Automation & Scripting: Ansible and Python
  • Bonus skills: familiarity with network monitoring tools, orchestration platforms, or additional programming languages (SQL, JavaScript, C#).
