Are you interested in an Internship or co-op opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) degree to participate in paid co-op and intern opportunities at our site in Orange, Ohio. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company.

Your role:

Join our high-performing Imaging CT team as a Software Test Automation Engineer Co-op and help shape the future of imaging technology. In this role, you'll work closely with experienced engineers across DevOps, imaging physics, and algorithm development, gaining hands-on experience in test automation, infrastructure optimization, and continuous integration. Your work will help free up Imaging Physics and Algorithm developers to focus on innovation and new feature development, while you build and enhance the infrastructure, testing and validation foundation that powers our imaging systems.

These tasks would include the following to allow focus of the Imaging development team:

  • Plan, execute, and document CIRS verification activities to ensure system quality and compliance.
  • Support IQ integration on Pinecrest bays, ensuring smooth test environment setup and execution.
  • Participate in defect triage and issue investigation for CIRS and physics-related topics.
  • Improve and expand nightly test coverage by:
    • Adding new automated CIRS tests
    • Developing new quantitative image quality tests
    • Optimizing and stabilizing existing test suites for better reliability and execution speed.
  • Collaborate with the DevOps team to build automation and analysis tools, including the use of AI/ML for smarter test cases, service log processing, and data mining from the field.
  • Support software tool validation activities and EOL (End-of-Life) software updates to ensure system stability and compliance.

You're the right fit if:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in DevOps, test automation, and infrastructure.
  • Experience with programming languages like C++, Java, C#, Python.
  • Basic understanding of source control management tools like GitHub and agile development practices.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, technical writing, and collaboration skills.
  • Willing and capable of working on-site in the office at our Pinecrest, Orange, Ohio site.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The hourly pay range for this position is $26.00 to $29.00. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
