The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python, Spark/PySpark, Hadoop, REST services, and ReactJS and a proven ability to design, build, and enhance mission-critical surveillance applications that support compliance and regulatory initiatives. Responsibilities: Serve as a hands-on senior developer using Python, PySpark, Spark, and Hadoop for core compliance application components. Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications focused on reliability and regulatory compliance. Own and manage JIRA stories to deliver high-quality outcomes within monthly release cycles. Develop and support solutions on the Quartz platform, including audit findings and surveillance control enhancements. Build and consume REST services and collaborate on full-stack UI development using modern frontend technologies. Analyze complex domain-specific datasets for surveillance, risk, and monitoring use cases. Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven, production-level Python development experience. 3+ years of strong expertise with Hadoop and Apache Spark/PySpark, building scalable distributed pipelines for batch and streaming data. 3+ years with Hadoop ecosystem tools including HDFS and Hive. 3+ years as a senior developer supporting front-office applications in banking or financial services. 3+ years as a quantitative researcher and/or developer, with ability to analyze complex domain data. 3+ years in REST services, ReactJS, or full-stack application development. Strong experience with object and relational databases. Solid understanding of SDLC, version control, and CI/CD practices. 5+ years of hands-on programming experience in an object-oriented language. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of Fixed Income, Equity products, and market structures. 2+ years developing risk and pricing applications.
