Job description

A leading medical technology company is looking for a DevOps / Embedded Software Engineer for a contract opportunity in Danvers, MA. This position is 3 days onsite per week and will support the development, automation, and deployment of software used in advanced medical devices. The engineer will work across CI/CD, DevOps infrastructure, embedded software, and development automation, with a technical environment including GitLab, Jenkins, C, Python, Bash, Linux/QNX, Jira, and JAMA.
This role is well suited for an engineer who enjoys working across software development and DevOps and can help improve the way embedded software is built, tested, and deployed. The ideal candidate will be comfortable troubleshooting complex technical issues, improving engineering processes, and partnering with embedded and software teams.
Required Skills & Experience
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
Proven experience building, maintaining, and improving CI/CD pipelines
Hands-on experience with GitLab and Jenkins
Strong programming and scripting skills using C, Python, and Bash
Experience working in Linux, QNX, Unix, or similar environments
Experience with DevOps tools supporting automation, infrastructure, monitoring, compliance, and security
Ability to design reliable and scalable software build and deployment processes
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis skills
Demonstrated ability to identify engineering process issues and implement improvements
