Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Atlanta, GA that is seeking a Senior DevOps Platform Engineer (Azure/AWS).
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Platform Engineer to design, build, and support scalable, secure, and reliable cloud platforms across Azure (primary) and AWS environments. This role focuses on modern infrastructure automation, CI/CD enablement, and Kubernetes-based platform engineering.
Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure primarily in Microsoft Azure, with exposure to AWS
* Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
* Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps and/or GitLab CI/CD
* Deploy, manage, and scale Kubernetes clusters (AKS/EKS)
* Create and maintain automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell
* Ensure platform scalability, reliability, and security across environments
* Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to improve development workflows and platform performance
* Support cloud governance, monitoring, and operational best practices
REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong experience with Azure (primary cloud platform) and working knowledge of AWS
* Hands-on expertise with Terraform for infrastructure automation
* Proven experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps and/or GitLab)
* Deep knowledge of Kubernetes (AKS and/or EKS)
* Proficiency in scripting: Python, Bash, or PowerShell
* Experience building and supporting enterprise-scale cloud platforms
* Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and reliability principles
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with platform engineering or internal developer platforms (IDPs)
* Knowledge of observability tools (monitoring/logging)
* Exposure to microservices architectures and containerization best practices
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
