Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) - Senior Level
Remote | 1-Year Contract (Open-Ended/Contract-to-Hire) | Multiple Domain Openings (Finance/Accounting, Manufacturing/MES/PLM, Food/FMCG, Agribusiness/Salesforce)
About the Role
Step into a high-impact, client-facing engineering role at the intersection of AI innovation and real-world business transformation. As a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll embed directly with enterprise stakeholders, architect cutting-edge AI-first solutions, and drive measurable business outcomes from day one. This is a unique opportunity to combine deep domain expertise with hands-on technology leadership-delivering value in weeks, not months.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end solution engagements: problem definition, architecture, build, deployment, and value measurement
- Rapidly design and deploy AI-powered systems (LLM agents, RAG pipelines, GenAI workflows, intelligent automation) within enterprise environments
- Translate complex business challenges into actionable technical requirements and strategic trade-offs
- Engage directly with C-suite and operational leaders as a trusted advisor and technical translator
- Build, iterate, and deliver working prototypes in sprint cycles, prioritizing what drives business impact
- Leverage your domain expertise to challenge assumptions, influence decisions, and develop replicable playbooks
- Operate with startup rigor: thrive in ambiguity, own outcomes, and deliver results with limited oversight
Required Skills and Experience
- 12+ years combined industry and technology experience, including hands-on roles inside your domain (Finance, Manufacturing, Food/FMCG, or Agribusiness/Commodities)
- Proven transformation track record-ownership of initiatives from ideation to adoption
- AI and GenAI expertise: hands-on with LLM integration (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini), prompt engineering, RAG, agent orchestration (LangChain, Crew AI, AutoGen), fine-tuning
- Proficient in Python plus at least one additional programming language
- Data fluency: SQL/NoSQL, data modeling, pipeline design, BI tools, structured/unstructured data
- Cloud infrastructure: Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP; Docker, Kubernetes, API design, enterprise security
- Enterprise systems literacy: ERP, CRM, SAP, Salesforce, or trading platforms-understand business processes and data flows
- Exceptional communication skills-executive-level clarity, bilingual in technical and business conversations
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, resource-constrained, ambiguous environments
