Location: Chillicothe, Illinois
Contract Type: Fulltime
Job Description & Skill Requirement:
Degree Requirements:
PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Material science, Civil Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering)
Other Requirements:
Programming skills (C++, Python)
Must be willing to travel and relocate domestically.
Proficient in ABAQUS, Hypermesh, Simlab, or other commercial FE software packages.
Experience in static stress analysis, heat transfer, nonlinear material and large deformation, contact/impact, dynamics, and thermal mechanical FEA analysis using ABAQUS.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Knowledge of mechanical systems (engines, drivetrains, hydraulics, etc.)
Knowledge of robust design and optimization.
Background and interest in physics-based analysis of systems and components.
Knowledge & experience in Machine Learning.
Ability to write efficient, well-documented code in Python.
Experience with the operation, design, and/or testing of heavy machinery equipment. Excellent analytical skills.
Ability to perform complex assignments.
