As a Java Developer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to modern, cloud-ready applications that power research and asset management capabilities across the firm. Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in software development, including internships, co-ops, apprenticeships, academic projects, or professional experience.
  • Foundational proficiency in Java software development and object-oriented programming principles.
  • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design fundamentals.
  • Experience writing, testing, debugging, and maintaining code with a focus on quality and reliability.
  • Familiarity with relational databases and the ability to write and troubleshoot SQL queries.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs, web services, and modern application development concepts.
  • Experience using Git or similar version control tools in a collaborative development environment.
  • Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and adapt within an Agile software development environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Spring Framework or Spring Boot.
  • Exposure to microservices and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience developing or consuming REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit or Mockito.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
