Our products consist of New England Coffee, French Market Coffee, Luzianne Iced Tea, Blue Plate Mayonnaise, Swans Down Cake Flour, Tiger Sauce, and Carroll Shelby Chili (to name a few) and can be found in foodservice and retail locations around the country.

Reily Foods Company is seeking an experienced and highly technical Database Architect to lead the design, development, optimization, and long-term strategy of enterprise data platforms and integrations.  This role will be responsible for architecting scalable database solutions that support ERP, analytics, reporting, integrations, and operational business processes across the organization.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SQL, Python, modern cloud data platforms, and enterprise ERP ecosystems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or similar ERP solutions.  This individual must be comfortable partnering with both functional business users and technical teams to translate operational requirements into scalable, maintainable, and high-performing data solutions.

This role will play a critical part in advancing enterprise reporting, analytics, automation, and data warehouse modernization initiatives.

Travel: 25% (1 week on-site in New Orleans/month)Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, design, and maintain enterprise database environments, data warehouses, and data integration frameworks.
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, functions, and performance tuning strategies.
  • Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT processes using Python and modern cloud-based data platforms.
  • Lead development efforts utilizing platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or similar enterprise data engineering technologies.
  • Partner closely with ERP teams to support integrations, reporting, analytics, and operational data requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand reporting and operational needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Support data architecture and integration efforts related to ERP platforms including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or similar enterprise ERP systems.
  • Support environment management, deployments, and release coordination activities within Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services and Microsoft Power Platform Admin Center environments related to ERP and application ecosystems.
  • Establish and maintain database standards, governance practices, naming conventions, security protocols, and documentation.
  • Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and proactively identify optimization opportunities.
  • Collaborate with development teams, infrastructure teams, analysts, and external vendors on cross-functional projects.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to developers, analysts, and support personnel.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, planning, and long-term data strategy initiatives led by leadership.
  • Support label/report development and document generation solutions as needed (experience with label development platforms is a plus).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.
  • 10+ years of experience in database architecture, database administration, enterprise data engineering, or related technical roles.
  • Advanced expertise in SQL development, query optimization, indexing strategies, and relational database design.
  • Strong Python development experience focused on data engineering, automation, integrations, and analytics workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or comparable enterprise data engineering technologies.
  • Experience supporting enterprise ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or similar ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Experience supporting deployments, environment management, and administrative functions within Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services and/or Microsoft Power Platform Admin Center.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Experience working collaboratively with both technical teams and functional business users.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience within food and beverage manufacturing or distribution environments is a plus.
  • Experience with Azure data services and cloud architecture.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or enterprise analytics/reporting platforms.
  • Experience with API integrations, EDI, or middleware solutions.
  • Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and source control practices.
  • Experience with label development or enterprise labeling platforms is a plus.
  • Exposure to machine learning, predictive analytics, or advanced data science workflows is a plus.
