Job description

Job Summary:
PGW Auto Glass is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Data Scientist to join our Pricing & Analytics team. This role will focus on transforming large-scale enterprise data into actionable business insights that improve pricing strategy, sales performance, inventory optimization, customer experience, and operational efficiency across our branch and distribution center network throughout the United States and Canada.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and visualization capabilities, practical experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services, and exposure to machine learning and AI-driven analytics. This position will work closely with Pricing, Supply Chain, Operations, IT, and Executive Leadership teams to develop modern analytics solutions and self-service reporting platforms.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining data science, business intelligence, and modern cloud analytics technologies to solve real-world business problems.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Data Analytics & Visualization
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and analytical solutions using:

o Microsoft Power BI
o Fabric Direct Lake semantic models
o Power BI Copilot capabilities
o Paginated reports and executive scorecards
  • Create KPI-driven dashboards for:

o Pricing analytics
o POS sales trends
o Inventory optimization
o Supply chain performance
o Customer purchasing behavior
o Branch and DC operational analytics
  • Enable self-service analytics for business users through governed semantic models and curated datasets.

Data Science & AI/ML
  • Develop predictive and prescriptive analytics models for:

o Dynamic pricing
o Sales forecasting
o Demand planning
o Customer segmentation
o Lost sales analysis
o Inventory replenishment
  • Apply machine learning and AI techniques using:

o Python
o Spark notebooks

  • Present findings and recommendations to leadership teams in a clear and concise manner.
