JOB DESCRIPTION:
Levio is currently seeking a Python Developer to contribute to a largescale project based in Montreal in a hybrid work model.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop and optimize Backend services in Python, primarily to automate and modernize financial forecasting processes ;
  • Contribute to the evolution of distributed architectures and data pipelines using DataIQ, Databricks and Snowflake ;
  • Participate in the automation of monthly and weekly processing using Python and SQL, which will represent the majority of the work ;
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, data and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth integration of solutions ;
  • Analyze technical requirements, propose robust solutions and take part in architectural decisions ;
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of code, processes and tools (automated tests, CI/CD, monitoring) ;
  • Ensure the performance, reliability and security of applications in a highly regulated and multiteam environment ;
  • Interact with existing systems such as Teradata and various legacy platforms, while directing deliverables toward Snowflake.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field ;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Python development within complex environments ;
  • Experience in the banking sector or within large financial institutions (required) ;
  • Strong knowledge of data technologies: SQL, NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) ;
  • Proficiency with Linux environments and DevOps practices (Git, CI/CD, containerization) ;
  • Familiarity with DataIQ, Databricks and Snowflake ;
  • Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.
