Job description

Python Developer Contractor

As a Python Developer Contractor, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing Python-based applications and solutions. Design, develop, and test Python applications based on project requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand technical specifications and requirements. Implement best practices in coding, testing, and deployment to ensure high-quality software. Optimize and enhance existing Python applications for performance and scalability. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Python applications and provide technical support.

Senior Hands-on Python/Kubernetes Developer (ideally with Payments experience):

1. At least 6-8 years of hands on experience and strong in Python, Kubernetes and SQL

2. Seasoned practitioner who is well organized, can perform well in a developer capacity in an โ€œindividual contributorโ€ role, while also being a team player working with geographically distributed teams (US, Canada, India)

3. Any Financial Services Payments experience (e.g., working with and knowledge of SWIFT MT and MX messages) would be a definite plus, but is not a hard requirement

4. Strong client presence preferred

At this time, we are only considering candidates in the NY Tristate area who are willing to work onsite at the client location in Jersey City, NJ, in a hybrid arrangement (approximately 4 days per week onsite). This role is for a strong technical senior developer/architect. The ideal candidate must have excellent technical skills as well as strong oral and written communication abilities, as they will be engaging with director-level client personnel and must be able to confidently assert their viewpoint.
