Job description

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer who combines strong scripting capabilities with hands-on experience in Azure DevOps and a solid foundation in network engineering. This role focuses on streamlining infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and operational workflows while ensuring reliability and scalability across systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts to streamline infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, and system operations.
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, ensuring efficient and reliable software delivery.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and network teams to improve system integration and performance.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize automated workflows and pipelines.
  • Apply network engineering principles to diagnose connectivity issues, optimize performance, and ensure secure communication between systems.
  • Maintain documentation for automation processes, pipelines, and infrastructure configurations.
  • Support cloud-based environments, primarily within Microsoft Azure.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong scripting experience in languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including pipelines, repos, and release management.
  • Understanding of CI/CD concepts and best practices.
  • Foundational knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, routing, subnets, VPNs, and firewalls.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure.
  • Ability to troubleshoot across application, infrastructure, and network layers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools.
