Job Description
We currently have a career opportunity for a Senior Java / Python developer / production support to join our team located Lake Mary, FL or Pittsburgh. PA
As a Senior Technical Consultant you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of application developed for our clients. As a member working in a team environment you will take direction from solution architects and Leads on development activities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in technical planning & requirements gathering phases including Design, code, test, troubleshoot, and document engineering software applications.
• Ensuring that technical software development process is followed on the project, familiar with industry best practices for software development.
• Develop applications in languages including Java, and Python
• Provide production support as needed, including participation in a rotating weekend support schedule.
• Demonstrate the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience level.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in software development, with specific experience in delivering and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems.
• Expertise in Java and Python is required with 5+ years hands on experience.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and system fundamentals.
• Proficiency in database management, including Oracle and database querying languages (SQL, PL/SQL).
• In-depth understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts and hands-on experience with a major cloud platform, such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and testing methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-informed task execution.
• Familiarity with AI-enhanced platforms is a plus.
• A solid understanding of AI capabilities and limitations including ethical considerations is expected
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $ 64,974 to $149,880.
