Key Responsibilities
  • Migrate & consolidate - Move projects from Bitbucket Server into product-aligned GitHub mono-repos across multiple teams and stacks (Node.js/TypeScript, Java, Python).
  • Own the monorepo workflow: Build and maintain unified tooling with Nx, Lerna, and pnpm workspaces - affected-graph builds, task caching, and project scaffolding.
  • Modernize builds: Standardize Java builds (Maven, with Gradle migration where it pays off) integrated with JFrog Artifactory and our Train deployment system.
  • Design CI/CD: Build GitHub Actions pipelines - reusable workflows, matrix builds, caching, and supply-chain controls (SBOM, dependency and secret scanning) - partnering with the squads that own shared CI/CD infrastructure.
  • Automate code hygiene: Drive Dependabot updates, scheduled/manual maintenance workflows, agentic triage-and-patch automation, and large-scale refactoring (OpenRewrite/Moderne), enforcing conventional-commit and automated-release standards.
  • Advance AI-assisted DevEx: Extend GitHub Copilot, custom agents, reusable prompts/instructions, and MCP tooling to automate migration, review, and repetitive engineering work; add linters, static analysis, and codegen.
  • Make systems observable: Implement logging, tracing, and alerting (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana) for visibility and performance insight.
  • Share knowledge: Document and champion the team's tooling, processes, and practices with development partners.
Required Skills
  • Total 7+ years of Python & Type script / Java Script development experience
  • Scripting: Strong skills in Python, Bash, Groovy, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • 7+ years in DevOps, platform, or application engineering (JavaScript/TypeScript).
  • AI-assisted development: Mid-level or stronger hands-on use of AI coding tools and agentic workflows (GitHub Copilot, Copilot/Claude agents, prompt engineering, MCP) on real delivery work.
  • CI/CD & automation: Proven experience designing and maintaining pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred).
  • Build & package systems: Multi-language tooling (pnpm/npm, Maven/Gradle, uv/pip) and monorepo conventions (Nx, Lerna, pnpm workspaces, or equivalents).
  • Platform fundamentals: Linux, advanced Git (GitHub and Bitbucket), containers with Podma (rootless/daemonless) and Docker-compatible workflows, plus Kubernetes/orchestration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, excellent written/verbal English, and a self-motivated team player who adapts quickly
