JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

As a Data Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience ingesting data into big data platforms and making it available to the business to support decision making and insights. Working alongside experienced engineers, scientists, and architects, you'll contribute to building scalable solutions and learn how data is designed, managed, and applied across enterprise systems. This role offers exposure to real-world projects in a collaborative environment, with opportunities to sharpen technical skills and develop a strong foundation for a future career in data and analytics.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop data pipelines using Python, PySpark, SQL and other tools

Use coding agents to speed up the delivery of data pipelines

Create enterprise-level code and repeatable processes

Operationalize data pipelines and enhance data quality across both systems and analytics solutions

Collaborate with data scientists and data architects on multiple projects

Partner with internal teams to support initiatives and improve performance.

Generate relevant documentation ready for business use

Qualifications:

Quantitative background and analytical problem-solving ability

Strong working knowledge of Python, PySpark, SQL, GitHub and other tools including Microsoft Office specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Strong, precise written and verbal communication skills with ability to articulate complex topics

High standard of accuracy, attention to detail, and speed under time-sensitive deadlines

Helpful but not required: Experience with Azure DevOps, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Cursor, Claude and GitHub Copilot

Enrolled in a graduate degree program in Data Engineering, Data Analytics or a related field of study

Graduating between December 2027 and May 2028

Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.

  • Corporate Positions:Inaddition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participateina quarterly or annual bonus program based onindividual and company performance.
  • Onsite Property Positions:Inaddition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participatein weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
