Business Technology Integrators (BTI) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with more than 25 years of experience delivering innovative and reliable IT and engineering solutions to the Federal Government. BTI supports mission-critical programs across defense and civilian agencies, with core expertise in cybersecurity, program management, enterprise IT, and technical oversight services.

BTI is currently searching for a Cloud Engineer to fulfill the roles and responsibilities below:

Roles and Responsibilities

As a Cloud Engineer, the main responsibility is to design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure and services to support applications and operational needs.

This role involves collaborating with development and operations teams to build scalable, reliable, and secure cloud environments. Cloud Engineers are tasked with automating deployment processes, monitoring system performance, and optimizing costs associated with cloud resources.

Additionally, they must ensure cloud security and compliance with industry standards while continuously evaluating emerging technologies to enhance cloud strategies.

Effective communication and problem-solving skills are essential, as Cloud Engineers often serve as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Experience/Qualifications:
  • An undergraduate college degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or other discipline related to the requirements of this project with relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus.
  • At least 4 years Hands-on experience with cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and their respective services.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or JavaScript for automation and infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Strong understanding of networking, security principles, and data storage solutions in a cloud environment.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for continuous integration and delivery.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
